I designed this tool to be able to catch up with my book series when a continuation gets published. Since most available summaries lack some details, the narrative or the world-feel, I myself prefer to read the books again to get reimmersed into the world. This becomes a problem with larger book series since I usually don’t have the time to read another 5000 pages just to read the new one.

This is why I designed Summ-AI-rizer. It processes a book chapter by chapter using an LLM. The LLM gets prompted to shorten the text to e.g. 10% length while preserving the writing style of the author. This way the book gets shortened, but it still feels somewhat like reading the original book. And most importantly, nobody else decides for you what story details are cut, since the LLM usually preserves all relevant content by summarizing or removing fillers.

Usage

The tool provides a web interface where you can upload the ebook, choose your preferred LLM model and provider, and select length and chapters.

Legal notice

This tool should only be used with books where you own the rights. The LLM provider will receive the full content of the book you upload and may or may not use it for training, over which I have no control.
